The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), on behalf of DG MARE, has published a call for proposals for actions in the context of the integrated maritime policy, which will carry inter-sectoral and cross-border elements in the blue economy of the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions. This call is part of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
The call has the overall goal of promoting mutual understanding, awareness-raising and joint responses to well-identified challenges hindering integration between maritime sectors in areas such as marine research, coastal and maritime tourism, maritime transport, marine environment, business and skills development, and clustering of maritime activities.
Supported actions shall cover one of the following objectives:
- piloting public-private partnerships amongst Black Sea and/or Mediterranean stakeholders; and
- promoting the networking between maritime clusters in the Black Sea and/or the Mediterranean on concrete initiatives/topics related to the overall goal of the call.
The geographic area covered by these actions will include the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.
Eligible applicants are stakeholders from the EU Member States and partner countries bordering both sea basins and participating in the respective cooperation frameworks (e.g. Union for the Mediterranean, EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian region, Black Sea Synergy, etc.) as well as private bodies (profit or non-profit) active in the targeted sea basins.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 26 November 2015.
