Call for Proposals: Support to Civil Society, Local Authorities and Human Rights in Ukraine/ DL: the 24th of January 2017

The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen the role of civil society and local authorities in Ukraine in promoting transparent and participatory governance, democratic reforms and human rights, in facilitating the peaceful conciliation of group interests, and in ensuring inclusive socioeconomic development.

 
The call for proposals is divided into four lots, each with its own specific objectives and priorities:

 
• to enhance the role of the CSOs in promoting rule of law, democratic reforms and increase public accountability;
• to increase the role of CSOs in promoting socially fairer and environmentally sustainable economic development, peacebuilding and reconciliation, including through empowerment of women and youth;
• to strengthen the role of Ukrainian civil society in promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms;
• to empower local authorities to respond to citizens’ demands and to promote inclusive and sustainable local development.

 

Local and regional authorities, federations, unions, administrations states, development NGOs, as well as universities and non-profit organisations are invited to apply.

 
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 9.754.004.

 
The deadline for submitting applications is January 24, 2017.
