Small Grants Competition Promoting Volunteerism in Georgia

Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) invites proposals for a grant competition in support of grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in Georgia. The grant competition is designed to strengthen organizational capacity of newly-established CSOs and to increase their effective and sustained engagement in decision-making processes at a local level to address the problems of their constituencies.

COMPETITION GOAL
The goal of the grant competition is to improve the capacity of Georgian CSOs, in mobilizing volunteers around specific issue areas, so as to effect positive communal change and promote the culture and practice of volunteerism in Georgia.

The grant competition will award up to five grants. The maximum grant award for each project is USD 4,000 equivalent in GEL with project activities lasting for no less than 6(six) months.

ELIGIBILITY
Non-profit CSOs legally registered in Georgia are eligible to apply. Civil servants, members of the current parliament, staff of public broadcasting, and/or leaders and members of political parties cannot participate in a grant project as a director or any grant remunerated participant.

Deadline for submission of applications: 6:00 PM (Tbilisi Time), September 14, 2012
Award announcement: October 15, 2012
